The project

Protecting residents’ parking.

This strata sits within close proximity of the new Crows Nest Metro Station. Parking is at a premium here, so protecting the residents’ parking is paramount for this site. The block is in a lovely quiet area, which also left the gate at risk of vandalism.

The site was a strong match for an Automatic Cable Gate System. There was plenty of driveway width for a cabinet on either side, and the Cable Gate comfortably covers the 8 metre driveway.

We were recently called to site after a truck had driven through the Cable Gate. The cable had let go by design, preventing further damage to the Cable Gate cabinets that house the automation system. The repair was simple: our technician found the only damage was a broken cable pin. We replaced the cable pin, reconnected the cable, and security for the strata residents’ parking was restored.
