The project

A high-security air lock.

We were called in to remove a set of Automatic Security Bollards that had been installed by another company. The bollards had failed within the first twelve months. They had been installed incorrectly, and that incorrect installation caused the system to fail.

At this site the bollards are used as an air lock, to ensure maximum security. The initial entry is through an Automatic Security Gate System. Once the vehicle has been cleared, the Automatic Security Bollards are activated and lower into the ground to allow the vehicle to pass.

Automatic Security Bollards are designed for high security sites. They are not a cost effective security option and require regular maintenance. Our Automatic Security Bollards have primarily been for government sites such as Data Centres that require a high level of security. The pre-site set up requirements and the installation are both expensive, so they are not for everyday home security users.
